Since our last update in April, Defibs4Bristol has continued expanding public access to defibrillators across the city with three new installations, including two pubs - the Cat & Wheel and The Jersey Lily - as well as a prominent residential location on Harbury Road in Henleaze.
The latest projects also marked an important milestone, with The Jersey Lily becoming Defibs4Bristol’s 60th public defibrillator installation across Bristol.
No.59 – Cat & Wheel, Cheltenham Road

Our 59th defibrillator went live at the Cat & Wheel on Cheltenham Road as part of an ongoing partnership with Wickwar Wessex Pub Company.
The defibrillator and cabinet were funded directly by Defibs4Bristol, with the venue supporting the installation and helping provide vital public access in a busy part of the city.
No.60 – The Jersey Lily, Whiteladies Road

Our 60th installation followed shortly afterwards at The Jersey Lily on Whiteladies Road.
Like the Cat & Wheel, the installation forms part of our growing partnership with Wickwar pubs across Bristol. With these latest additions, five of Wickwar’s nine Bristol-area pubs now have publicly accessible defibrillators available for emergency use.
Many thanks to Filippo and the wider Wickwar team for their continued support and enthusiasm towards helping make Bristol safer.
No.61 – Harbury Road, Henleaze

Our 61st defibrillator was installed on Harbury Road in Henleaze, helping improve coverage in an area Defibs4Bristol had identified as lacking nearby public access defibrillators.
After exploring several possible locations without success, Simon approached a local resident whose garage sits prominently on the corner near Wellington Hill West. The homeowner kindly agreed to host the cabinet on the outside wall of the property, creating a highly visible and easily accessible location for emergency use.
Defibs4Bristol funded the defibrillator, cabinet and installation, while a local physiotherapy business agreed to support the ongoing electricity costs.
The installation now provides an important midway point between nearby existing defibrillators and significantly strengthens coverage across the local area.
Thank You
As always, none of these projects would be possible without the continued support of local businesses, residents, volunteers and community organisations across Bristol.
Defibs4Bristol remains committed to improving public access to defibrillators across the city, while also supporting communities with ongoing guidance, monitoring and CPR awareness.
