How To Help
Everything we do is funded by the generosity of the public and local businesses. Every penny goes directly to installations - no salaries, no expenses.
But it doesn't stop at donations. We need locations, we need guardians, and we need people who believe Bristol deserves better access to life-saving equipment.
There's a way for everyone to help.

Each Defibrillator Costs Around £1,500 To Install, Plus Ongoing Maintenance Costs
Make a Donation
Every donation, no matter the size, brings Bristol closer to another life-saving defibrillator.
Our installations are funded entirely through public generosity - and every penny goes directly to buying, installing and maintaining equipment.
We're currently raising £2,200 to fund two new community defibrillators for Bristol. We're part of the way there - can you help us get over the line? Visit our GoFundMe page to make a donation.
Fundraise For Your Community
Want to bring a defibrillator to your neighbourhood? We can help you get started.
Whether it's a sponsored event, a collection, or a community campaign, we'll guide you through the process and handle the installation.
Several of our defibrillators have been funded by local residents who saw the need and took action. You could do the same for your area.

Workplace and Company Sponsorship
We work with local businesses and organisations who want to make a tangible contribution to their community. Sponsoring a defibrillator is a visible, lasting investment in public safety - and your team can be part of the installation.
Get in touch if you'd like to set a challenge for your colleagues, sponsor a unit, or explore how your workplace can support the network.
Can You Provide a Defibrillator Location?
With a usable radius of around 300 yards, every defibrillator needs to be at the heart of a community. We've placed units outside shops, barbers, pubs, community centres and sports clubs across Bristol.
We're looking for building owners who will allow a defibrillator to be placed on their exterior wall for 24/7 public access. If you have a suitable location - or know someone who does - we'd love to hear from you.

Survival Is Maximised When a Defibrillator Is Used Within 3–5 Minutes Of Cardiac Arrest

Become a Support Guardian
Once a defibrillator is installed, it needs ongoing care. We rely on volunteers to keep an eye on their local unit - checking it's in good condition, reporting any issues, and letting us know if pads have been used.
After any activation, we update the national system so the defibrillator is back online and visible to 999 call handlers as quickly as possible. Guardians play a vital role in making that happen.
It only takes a few minutes a week. Could you look after your local defibrillator?
Help Us Spread the Word
Tell your neighbours, colleagues, and friends about the defibrillator nearest to them. Point them to our website so they can find their local unit. If your workplace, school, or community group would like to know more about what we do, we're always happy to come and talk.
The more people who know where their nearest defibrillator is - and feel confident enough to use it - the safer Bristol becomes.
