Training at Cotswold Community Centre, Shirehampton

Last Friday, Simon hosted the first of two CPR and defibrillator training sessions at the Cotswold Community Centre in Shirehampton, with the next session scheduled for Tuesday 23rd September.

The Community Centre’s defibrillator has been in place since August 2021, installed with our support and kindly funded by the Centre following a free training session we provided. That installation has had a real ripple effect across the local area. Since then, other venues in Shirehampton have followed the Centre’s lead and now have their own publicly accessible defibrillators, including:

• The Lamplighters

• The Co-op

• The George pub

These latest training sessions build on that progress - giving local residents and business owners the skills and confidence to respond in a cardiac emergency, and making sure they know exactly where their nearest defibrillators are.
