Some defibrillator installations come together quickly, while others take a little more persistence. Installation No. 52 at The Cambridge Arms on Coldharbour Road, Redland, certainly fell into the latter category. But thanks to the dedication of the landlord, Fuller’s, and a local community fund, we’ve successfully filled an important gap in the area’s defibrillator network.

This journey started in the wake of COVID-19, a time when pubs were facing financial challenges, making fundraising understandably difficult. However, the determination to make this happen never wavered. After multiple visits, conversations, and securing community support, we were finally able to get the necessary approvals and funding to install this vital piece of lifesaving equipment.

A huge thank you to everyone who played a part in making this happen. Your patience, generosity, and commitment to community safety will have a lasting impact. The harder the challenge, the greater the reward - and this was definitely one worth fighting for!
