Defibs4Bristol Scores Big with Bristol Rovers: Our 40th and 41st Installations!

Updated: Jun 12, 2024

We are thrilled to share the news of our 40th and 41st defibrillator installations at the iconic Memorial Stadium, home of Bristol Rovers FC. This marks a significant achievement in our mission to enhance community safety across Bristol.

Our partnership with Bristol Rovers was initiated when Simon met Adam Tutton, the CEO of the Bristol Rovers Community Trust. Following this meeting, Simon conducted free CPR and defibrillator training sessions for the community coaches. This initiative sparked a collaborative effort with Defibs4Bristol helping procure two new defibrillators.

In collaboration with Bristol Rovers FC and the Bristol Rovers Supporters Club, we have positioned two brand-new, life-saving defibrillators that are now readily accessible not only to the stadium's fans, visitors, and staff but also to the broader local community in emergency situations.

The defibrillators are located at strategic points within the stadium: one by the ticket office and another at the entrance to the Thatchers Bar.

Currently, the defibrillators are located within the stadium premises; however, following upcoming building works, there are plans to place a defibrillator on the perimeter of the stadium to provide 24/7 access to local residents.

They are available to the public Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, and on matchdays from 8 am until 8 pm.

This initiative was made possible by a generous donation from the Bristol Rovers Supporters Club, which enabled the acquisition of these essential devices. We extend our gratitude to Neil Lloyd at Your Electrical for his expert assistance with the installations.

Thank you to everyone involved at the club for making these installations a reality. We look forward to working with Bristol Rovers on future projects.
