We were recently contacted by Mitzi Mott and Lucy O’Sullivan, two trainee journalists from the University of the West of England (UWE), who wanted to feature Defibs4Bristol in their TV news training project. Their short video news report highlights our mission and celebrates a major milestone - the installation of our 50th public access defibrillator in Bristol.
Filming took place at The Sportsman in Bishopston, where they interviewed Simon about the importance of accessible defibrillators and the difference they can make in saving lives. They also spoke with Julian McLauchlan, landlord of The Sportsman, about the value of having a defibrillator at the venue and within the local community.
We’ve now seen the final video, and we’re incredibly impressed with the result! Mitzi and Lucy have done a fantastic job capturing our story with professionalism and skill. They have bright futures ahead of them in journalism, and we’re grateful they chose to highlight our work.
We’re excited to share their final video with you - take a look below!
A huge thank you to Mitzi and Lucy for reaching out and making this happen. It’s great to see young journalists helping to spread awareness about the importance of public access defibrillators and the work we do.
As always, thank you for your support in making Bristol a safer place.
