Simon recently provided CPR and defibrillator training at Southmead Rugby Football Club. With rising cardiac arrest rates in sports, having the proper skills and equipment is crucial.
Southmead RFC already has a defibrillator on site, but Simon led a training session for around a dozen club members on how to use it properly. He had them practice CPR techniques and go through defibrillator procedures to ensure they could respond calmly in an emergency.
The club members were engaged and asked thoughtful questions throughout the training. By the end, they felt more empowered knowing they could help save lives if needed.
Simon was impressed by Southmead RFC's commitment to health and safety. He was grateful to share his knowledge and help the club and looks forward to working with them again in the future.
